Yesterday afternoon, our student interns from GMCS worked with our Fire Prevention Staff and learned how to conduct annual inspections on portable fire extinguishers. This is just one of the aspects that our students are learning while working with your Gallup Fire Department.
This is a great opportunity for students to learn about all the different types of careers that are out there. While conducting inspections with us they look at fire & life safety systems including portable fire extinguishers and they have learned that there are trades out there who are responsible for installing and servicing these critical systems.
