March 4, 2023 post.

Today, your Gallup Fire Department was honored to have City Councilor Michael Schaaf come to Fire Station 1. Councilor Schaaf provided a $2,500 grant that allowed us to purchase smoke alarms and combination smoke/carbon monoxide alarms for our smoke alarm installation program.

This program allows us to provide and install these alarms in homes inside of the city limits free of charge. We cherish this program because we know that smoke alarms save lives and we could not have a program like this in our city without community members and leaders such as Councilor Schaaf.

If you need a smoke alarm and/or combination smoke & carbon monoxide alarm in your home please call your Gallup Fire Department Fire Prevention Office at 505-726-5448.
