Smoke and carbon monoxide alarms save lives!
Modern fires burn at such a quick pace that you could have as little as 2 minutes to escape from your home.
Carbon monoxide is the silent killer, as you can’t see it, taste it, or smell it.
Your Gallup Fire Department takes the safety of our community seriously and that reason is why we have a free smoke and carbon monoxide alarm install program.
If you live inside of the City of Gallup and need to have smoke alarms and/or carbon monoxide alarms installed in your home please call the Gallup Fire Department Fire Prevention Office at 505-726-5448.
Here are some pictures of us recently installing smoke alarms in a home. Our student interns from GMCS assisted us in the installation and they were able to learn why working smoke alarms are so important.
