From December 8, 2022 post.
December is National Drunk & Drugged Driving Prevention Month. The time between Thanksgiving and New Year’s Day is the deadliest and most dangerous time on roadways due to an increase in impaired driving.
If you’re home or traveling during the holidays, you may be planning to go to a few parties, get-togethers, or even just a few drinks with family. If you have been drinking or are under the influence of drugs, do not operate a vehicle.
Driving under the influence puts you at risk, but also puts everyone else at risk.
Always plan ahead and have a designated driver. Talk to your loved ones about how important they are and to be responsible when driving. If you are hosting a party, remember to offer non-alcoholic options for the designated drivers.
Working together we can END DWI in our community.
If you roll the dice and drive while under the influence of drugs or alcohol, REMEMBER SOME THINGS CAN’T BE REVERSED!
