The Gallup Fire Department is more than individuals that come to work for 48 hours and then go home. The Gallup Fire Department is a family and we consider each other brothers and sisters.
People ask us all the time why we love doing what we do. And the answer is that there is no single answer. Each member loves being a part of the fire department for different reasons, but we all love it.
A prime example is Firefighter Paul Morris who recently obtained his EMT-Intermediate license had his picture taken why doing truck checks on a rescue unit. The smile on his face is genuine and is always there.
