Today, your Gallup Fire Department kicked off its 2022 fire prevention education in schools. Today we spent time with the students at Hozho Academy.
Last year we introduced fire prevention education that was based on the student’s grade level on a pilot test. We updated our program and this year we are using are new grade based fire prevention education throughout all the schools we go to. This new program will teach the students different fire safety topics each year and the information will increase and become more in depth every year.
We are so excited to be in the schools teaching the kids about fire safety and using our new grade based education program.
