Your Gallup Fire Department held a naming contest for our new fire prevention dog. This contest went out to the 3rd grade classes inside of the city. We asked Sparky what he wanted to name his new friend but Sparky wouldn’t say anything (of course because dogs can’t talk).
Through multiple rounds of voting the name that had the highest number of votes was….drum roll please
“ROOKIE”
This name was sent in to us by Mrs. Yazzie’s 3rd grade class at Rehoboth Christian School. For sending in the name this class will be getting a very special fire prevention party.
