Your Gallup Fire Department would like to introduce you to the newest member of our family. klo1Dominique DeLara started with us as a Firefighter on October 3rd. She comes to our department with 3 years of volunteer fire service experience. Dominique is a certified Firefighter II, Hazardous Materials Operations, Firefighter Survival and is a licensed EMT-Basic.
Dominique decided to join the Gallup Fire Department to help those in need and serve her community. Dominique was inspired by the Firefighters who helped rescue her and her family when they were involved a serious motor vehicle collision. Even though Dominique was a child at that time she still remembers what the Firefighters did for her and her family.
When not at work learning the ins and outs of the Gallup Fire Department, Dominique enjoys hiking, swimming, going to the gym, listening to music and hanging out with friends watching movies. Her favorite activity is spending time with her family. Dominique also has a passion for Jeeps and motorcycles.
One of the items she hopes to do in the future is travel to different countries and learn the languages such as French, German, and Japanese.
Congratulations on becoming a member of the Gallup Fire Department family. We wish you a long safe and health career.
