Yesterday afternoon, Crew B of your Gallup Fire Department was dispatched to the intersection of HWY 491 and Jefferson on a report of a motor vehicle collision. While responding our units were updated by the Gallup Police Department that 2 vehicles were involved with heavy damage. Upon arrival our crews found 2 vehicles with a total of 5 patients. One occupant was still trapped inside of a vehicle and the Gallup Fire Department had to use the extrication equipment to free the occupant. Med Star Ambulance transported 3 patients to the hospital and the Gallup Fire Department transported the other 2 patients.
