Your Gallup Fire Department would like to congratulate Fire Inspector Arlita Pablo who was awarded the 2022 New Mexico Fire Code Officer of the Year Award last Friday night at the 9th Annual New Mexico Fire & EMS Expo in Socorro.
This award honors a fire code officer who has demonstrated integrity, dedication, and initiative in the use of professional expertise to reduce the loss of life and property through compliance enforcement of codes and regulations.
Fire Inspector Arlita Pablo was awarded this prestigious honor due to her ability to work with businesses on fire code related issues through the lens of public education. Her dedication to Gallup, especially the schools with her work on reorganizing the school fire prevention program to an aged based curriculum. And her mentoring programs she is dedicated to with helping the future leaders in our community.
It is a great honor not only for Fire Inspector Arlita Pablo but for the Gallup Fire Department and the City of Gallup.
