Gallup Fire Department is proud to have been invited and participate in training over the last 2 days.
This training was put on by the I love u guys foundation and the Gallup McKinley County Schools. Others that participated included New Mexico State Police, Gallup Police Department, McKinley County Sheriffs Office, McKinley County Office of Emergency Management, McKinley Metro Dispatch, McKinley County Fire and EMS, Navajo Nation Police Department, and Ramah Schools and Police Department.
This training covered the Standard Response Protocol and the Standard Reunification Method. Also conducted were exercises on the Standard Reunification Method which is a way that schools and emergency officials can get children involved in a school incident back to their parents.
Even though it was great training and great for all of us to work together we hope we never have to use this.
