Late Friday night, Crew B of your Gallup Fire Department was dispatched to the area of east Coal Ave on a report of a possible structure fire. Upon arrival our crews found a large fire burning on the exterior of a building. The crews deployed a hose line and had a quick knockdown on the fire. At the same time other crews were forcing entry into the building to check for extension. When entry was made it was found that the building was full of smoke. Crews made entry and found the fire had extended into the building which was also quickly extinguished. Crews conducted overhaul to ensure all of the fire was out. The cause of the fire is being investigated by Gallup Fire Department Fire Investigators.
