Late yesterday afternoon, Crew A of your Gallup Fire Department responded to HWY 66 on a report of a 2 car motor vehicle collision. Upon arrival our crews found 2 vehicles involved with one of them on its side. The occupant inside the vehicle on its side was still trapped and was extricated through the window by fire crews. After being extricated from the vehicle that occupant was transported to the hospital by Med Star Ambulance. A bystander who was injured while trying to rescue the trapped occupant prior to our arrival was assessed by fire crews and was released. No other injuries were reported.
