McKinley County issued the following announcement on April 3.
Sgt. Bennett and his crew handled a fatal crash involving a semi truck and a passenger car at the 15 mile marker on I40, eastbound, during the early morning hours. I-40 eastbound was closed for a period of time. NMSP diverted traffic off the interstate at exit 8 while Sgt. Bennett and his crew handled the crash.
