Criminal Interdiction K-9 Unit Seizes Illegal Narcotics

Cocaine

Cibola County issued the following announcement on April 8.

The Cibola County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Interdiction k-9 Unit seizes 1 Kilo of Cocaine, 1 pound of fentanyl pills, and a illegal short barreled AR -15 with armor piercing rounds. The suspect taken into custody was also in the U.S illegally and booked into jail.

While the Sheriff’s office does not always share the details of arrest, this type of arrest has become increasingly more prevalent. The Sheriff’s is now routinely taking pounds of illegal narcotics, weapons, and or wanted or illegal fugitives off the streets of our community daily. We will continue to take a proactive approach towards criminal interdiction.
