In an effort to meet requirements set forth by the State of New Mexico in its public health order, the Gallup Express is making adjustments to its services.
The City of Gallup announced the new schedule for the public transportation service in addition to new regulations. The city announced rides will be by reservation only. Reservations must be made at least 24 hours in advance. Reservations should include the name of the rider, the time and day for the ride as well as destination and pick-up point.
The service will operate from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.
The Express is working diligently to provide a safe environment for those using its services. As part of that effort, service will be limited to no more than four riders at one time on a bus and surfaces will be wiped down every four hours.
Gallup Express reserves the right to refuse service to anyone it feels threatens public safety.
